Office of Attorney General and Department of Justice[]
Section 1: The Office of Attorney General and Department of Justice shall be moved under the Judicial Branch of government.
Section 2: The Office of Attorney General is appointed by a majority vote of the United States Supreme Court, or in the case of tie the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and takes office immediately, but appointments must be confirmed by the United States Senate. In the case of a vote of no confidence by the United States Senate during confirmation, a new person must be appointed as attorney general; the attorney general is also subject to impeachment by the House of Representatives and trial in the Senate for "treason, bribery, and other high crimes and misdemeanors
Section 3: The Office of Attorney General serves at the pleasure of the United States Supreme Court, but a sitting attorney general can only be removed by a straight majority vote of the United States Supreme Court; after removal, appointment of a new attorney general follows the normal appointment process.
Section 4: While the Department of Justice conveys new powers to the Judiciary Branch, the writ of Mandamus is not conveyed directly to the United States Supreme Court.
